This week, I realized that I need a new photo of me. This one is a couple of years old

I’m older now...I’m not apologizing for it. (my bangs grew out too, so there is another reason haah)

I’m in my middle years and loving it.

But...Why do people feel like they have to apologize for their age?? I’ve got an idea why...

Women really suffer most from ageist mentality and I’m here to say Yes.. it is out there. It creeps up on you. Society expects us to go somewhere after 48-50

In fact I’m meeting and working with women who are experiencing this. Without any warning. Or they are applying for a job and realize that their 49 years is an issue(??) Really, we have so much more to offer.

But where? How about designing that story. How about taking all the experiences, knowledge and gifts and creating your best life?!

Embrace it. Expect it and take charge. Hiding and fear will only create a vacuum

I think women in their middle years are well positioned to:

1) Freelance

2) Consult

3) Create a non-profit

4) Buy an existing business

5) Write a book about your life and go speak at events

6) Develop a product and market it

7) Volunteer

8) Mentor

9) Develop community for women like you

10) Go live the life you have dreamed of...Maybe living your purpose

Seriously, its endless....I think competing with a 28-32 yr. old for a job is not where your best efforts are used.

I am passionate about women finding their Thread (brand +purpose) to remain relevant and sustained through life.

You’re needed. Maybe not in the capacity you created at 28 or 36 but don’t disregard what you possess.

You are necessary. I love the possibilities because I’ve recreated my career and life throughout my journey.

And.,. Maybe that’s why I am loving my age. I want the same for you.💜
